The Social Science Research Network (SSRN) comprises the Accounting Research
Network (ARN), Economics Research Network (ERN), Financial Economics Network
(FEN), and Legal Scholarship Network (LSN) and is available at:
Freedomlaw Virtual Reference Room
as well as
http://www.ssrn.com/
These networks include electronic distribution lists for receiving abstracts
of papers, with searchable archives and some discussions, professional
job openings and other announcements, and the ability to download
papers. Subscription is via e-mail or web. They still seem to be free
(though for years, they've been threatening to start charging for receiving
these electronic journals of paper/article abstracts. Below is a
listing of some of the e-journals available via ERN, FEN, & LSN.
